'rustic wedding chic' invitations

It's been a bit of a month of madness but I thought I'd return with sharing some of the designs I've been working on. I've also updated my stationary page with some images of recent creations, do please take a look.

I loved working on these peacock blue inspired pocket folds for a lovely couple in Northumberland who had been put in contact with me through the beautiful Eshott Hall (thank you again Laura!) I sourced these gorgeous papers with the most lovely finish, which were great for creating a contemporary twist on a very traditional style invitation. I've had some very positive feedback and wish Laura and Stuart all the best for their special day.

I'm also excited to share these invitations I created for some close friends of ours. Continuing the theme from the rustic save the dates, I created a pocket style invitation with letterpressed insert cards.

Keen to incorporate the bunting, into the pocket I used a simple cut out design on the cover, with the striped band binding the insert cards, coming through as the flags. I am really pleased with these simple yet, I think rather effective invitations and have recieved lots of positive feedback so far. James (the groom) is also a very talented photographer and very kindly took these photos for me. They show off the invitations really well and I love the styling!

Thanks James! Please do check out more of his beautiful photography here.
